Migrating away

I've been with GoDaddy a couple of years now, and I think it's time to move on. Their user interface is not user friendly in my opinion, and their account billing practices leave a lot to be desired. At times they even seem underhanded. I've found a local provider (TekOrange) who has competitive pricing and seems to have the features I am looking for, and ones I think will benefit my clients. Supporting local businesses is a plus, too. After all, I hope more locals will support me in the future, too!

Art Biz blog

I'm going to check out this blog for craft fair advice, and hopefully get my game on to get my wares in front of the public this spring. Space prices may be my only deterrent because my adventurous spirit tells me it will be fun. I have only done one show before, and I lost my shirt. There has to be a better way, and I'm going to find it.

Storm of the century: I hate the sounds of that! I hope they're wrong, wrong, wrong. My computer's home, I can work, so all is well.
I'll dream about spring and continue to think about exhibiting at some art/craft fairs.

No feedback

There might not be a lot of followers to continue this thread, but what do you think of Etsy buyers and sellers who do not leave feedback? Right now to me, it's kind of a big deal! I am relatively new to the Etsy scene, and positive (what else would it be?) feedback would help my ranking. I ponder the reasons one wouldn't take a second to leave feedback when Etsy makes the reminders pretty prominent. I wrote to Etsy for solutions to this problem, and really the only way to resolve it on an individual basis is send a convo with a gentle reminder of the positive transaction. That's all you can do. There is one merchant I bought some beads from and although the beads were beautiful, the drilled holes were so delicate they broke while I was working with them. Two sets of beads. This merchant is one that would not leave feedback so they are off my list of merchants I will do business with. That will be my recourse and I will move on and chalk it up to experience, and continue to expand my list of great bead suppliers!

Columbus crafters

This morning I am doing research on Columbus area artists/crafters. There are so many existing groups of crafters, too. The amount of information is vast, and I think I have only discovered the tip of the iceberg. The potential for comaraderie, collaboration and creativity is exciting...I am now following many of these creative blogs if you feel like checking them out.
BTW, this weekend is a JEWELRY weekend!
